I’m Gürkan Kayabaşoğlu

He was born in Sakarya in 1979.

He studied at Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine from 1997 to 2003.

In October 2009, he became an Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) specialist.

In November 2009, he took the written part of the European ENT Board Examination organized by the European ENT Board in Vienna and achieved a high score, becoming the third European ENT specialist.

In 2009-2010, he was invited to Europe to receive the "Official Scholarship" in Facial Plastic Surgery by the European Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery. He became the first Turkish physician to receive this training.

From February 2010 to April 2010, he worked at the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at St. George's University Hospital in London, United Kingdom.

After completing his Master's degree in Facial Plastic Surgery, he went to Washington D.C., USA in June 2010. He successfully passed the Board exam held in the city and competed with his American colleagues. He was awarded the title of Facial Plastic Surgery Specialist by the International Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery. He became the third Turkish physician to receive this diploma.

From 2010 to 2012, he worked as an assistant professor at Ünye State Hospital.

In April 2011, he worked with Prof. Dr. Rollin Daniel in Los Angeles, USA for 2 weeks.

In May 2011, he worked as an Observer Physician with Prof. Dr. James Suen at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Arkansas, USA for two weeks.

In October 2012, he started working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Otolaryngology at Sakarya University.

He participated in scientific research on Rhinology-Allergy/Facial Plastic Surgery/Sleep Disorders at the Turkish National Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery Congress with his scientific study titled "Comparison of the vitality of crushed, morselized, and diced cartilage grafts using confocal microscopy" in November 2013. He received the second prize in the research category.

In May 2014, he worked with Prof. Jonathan Sykes at the Department of Facial Plastic Surgery, University of California Davis Medical Center in Sacramento, USA for 6 weeks.

In May 2014, for one week, he worked as an Observer Physician at Elizabeth Medical Center, Tufts University School of Medicine clinic in Boston, St. Louis, USA with Prof. Dr. Peter J. Catalano.

At the Turkish National Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery Congress held in November 2014, he won the third prize in the Rhinology category with his study titled "Investigation of the relationship between osmophobia and olfaction in migraine patients".

He obtained the title of Associate Professor in October 2015.

In April 2015, at the Turkish Rhinology Congress, he won the third prize with his scientific study titled "Reconstructive surgery of a patient with partial nose and lip amputation following a human bite".

In November 2015, he successfully completed the oral part of the European Union ENT Board Examination organized by the European Union of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery Associations. He was entitled to receive the European Union Certificate in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. Board Certificate.

In December 2015, he left his academic position and started providing services to patients in the field of FACIAL SURGERY at his own private practice.

In June 2016, as a result of his scientific studies, training, and surgical experience in this field, he was awarded the "Oral, Facial, and Jaw Surgery Specialist" diploma by the Ministry of Health.

For the past five years, he has been serving as an instructor at the Facial Plastic Surgery School organized by the Turkish Society of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery.

For the past five years, he has been the organizer of the "Nose Aesthetics Meetings" congresses held regularly in Sapanca, which are followed with high attendance.
