This is because as we age, our lips become thinner, lose volume, elongate, and sag downwards. Just as facelift surgeries are more frequently performed in older ages, lip lift procedures are also often performed in middle-aged and older individuals. Therefore, if there is a volume deficiency at a younger age, filler applications can be a good solution for many patients. Additionally, sometimes the upper lip may be longer than normal regardless of age. However, not every patient with elongated lips may be a suitable candidate for this technique. Skin elasticity is crucial in this regard.
